There are multiple Mythic+ that has gun/bow/crossbows. I would suggest making the range weapon become more available to other class and spec this suggestion should goes to the DH’s warglaive as well. Of course as the raid bosses become farm these weapon will all become obsolete that just the nature of the any raid. That BiS 2 hander can be use by multiple class and spec and thus will be obsolete much longer than a range weapon. Your BiS 2 hander on the first boss prove my point. The reason I don’t want it to drop on the beginning bosses is a range weapon can only be use by a HUNTER. My comment was about having a BiS range weapon dropped on the first (easy) boss. Of course any raider will continue to farm and progression a raid content regardless of if they need the loots drop or not. You are talking about a raid progression. These folks still push progression with us. Raiders in my guild have gotten it multiple times, so much so that they give them away. There is a BiS 2 hander for a few classes that drops off the 1st boss in BoD. With all this knowledge, why would blizzard stash the only chance at a weapon for range hunters so deep in a raid? Damn 400ilvl weapon with zero hope for anything better in the near future, yet more weapons for every other class in easy reach…
Not only are we the only range class in the game that uses a range weapon, but only two of our 3 specs have them on loot table! I think its bad enough that only shamans and hunters can share loot, and blizz will most likely introduce yet another leather class where they can share drops of loot, but for weapons, hunters are alone on a little island with zero ships on the horizon.
Now, how about raiding you ask? I have done my share and am 4/9 mythic, but i dont have any chances at a weapon untill the 5th boss! It seems that every other class in the game has had multiple drops where they can even share loot with other raiders since they use the same weapons… but not hunters. I have been really discouraged lately and havnt done many in the last 2 - 3 weeks, but before that, i was running the crap out of them. Maybe its just me, but I cant seem to get the rng gods to drop anything over 400 for me in M+ (1500+io).
I am a little frustrated with the ranged weapons situation.
